ktriand great album, wish they'd press a cd or vinyl copy. - this album made me feel better when i was ill, made me smile when all i wanted to do was moan, made me sit up and travel when i was dissolving into the kleenex filled sofa. this album introduced me to the noir and twang of Big Lazy and i am happier for it <3

xpatofthemind From the Roy Orbison sounds of "The Low Way" to the 007 lick in "Avenue X," Big Lazy's spare, clean, guitar-driven genius sketches the outlines of a noir thriller. Whoever Myrtle is, I definitely won't cross her - but I would recommend this album to anyone with a taste for surf guitar, exotica, and lots of atmosphere. Favorite track: Unswerving.

Stephen Ulrich's instrumental guitar trio, Big Lazy, dwells in the landscape of gritty, yet gracefully crafted American music. The trio (Yuval Lion – drums, Andrew Hall – bass) has flourished for over two decades in New York’s downtown music scene. With - electric guitar, acoustic bass and drums - the trio forges a new American music from archetypes in Blues, Jazz, Surf, and Rockabilly. ... more
